Comparativos: ¡Comparaciones Directas!

Cuando queremos comparar dos cosas o personas en inglés, usamos los comparativos. Dependiendo de la longitud del adjetivo, la forma cambia:

• Adjetivos de una sílaba: simplemente agregamos -er al final del adjetivo.

  
  

  Ejemplos:

  • "This cat is smaller than that one." (Este gato es más pequeño que ese.)

  • "This car is faster than the bus." (Este coche es más rápido que el autobús.)

    
    

• Adjetivos de dos o más sílabas: agregamos "more" antes del adjetivo.

Superlativos: ¡El Mejor o el Peor!

Irregularidades en Comparativos y Superlativos

They all agreed that the mountain they climbed was the tallest they'd ever seen. The view from the top was the most beautiful they had ever experienced. Sarah, being the most adventurous, suggested they explore a nearby cave. The cave was darker than they had expected, and it felt much colder than outside. By the end of the day, they were all exhausted, but they agreed it had been the most exciting adventure of the summer.

Questions:

1. Who carried the heaviest backpack?

2. How did Tom's speed compare to Sarah and Jake's during the hike?

3. What did the group think about the mountain they climbed?
